The Basics: League & Knockouts
- Singles Leagues (twice a year — Spring & Fall): a season-long format. Players are placed into groups for a Group Stage, followed by a single-elimination Playoff Bracket. Based on Group Stage standings, players advance to the Main Bracket to play for the League Championship or to the Consolation Bracket for the Consolation Championship.
- Knockout Tournaments (quarterly): a shorter, straight single-elimination format with a built-in Consolation Bracket, so every player is guaranteed at least two matches. Offered in Advanced and Intermediate divisions.

Format & Rules
Every NYSA singles match is 16 frames of walking singles — players self-schedule their games throughout the season within the required time frame for each round of play.
All NYSA singles matches adhere to NYSA Rules of Play.

Match winners report results via the form at shuff.club; NYSA then posts them to RecRec.

- NYSA State Points – completing your matches in Singles Leagues and Knockout Tournaments earns you points toward your annual total, no matter the outcome. Track your progress year over year, and see where you land on the leaderboard — top point earners can even land a spot in NYSA’s Invitational tournament.
Eligibility
Singles Leagues and Knockout Tournaments are open to any NYSA Member who is active on a Royal Palms league team.
